DIY: create your own anxiety relief bag

So, we have all had those days. You know those days where you have a million and one things  to do. Of course, being the intelligent woman you are, you create a to do list. You are thinking…. “Organizing is the first step to getting things done, right?”

Wrong.

After spending 30 minutes of your life creating this detailed list ordered from least to most important task , you take a close look and….become even more panicky, because the visual representation of your list of “to-do’s” is twice as intimidating as the random thoughts just circulating in your head. You spend the rest of your day trying to figure out what to do first and then next thing you know it is 10 PM and you have gotten nothing done.

Like for real, Zilch. Zero. Nada.

Trust us! We get it. Like you, we have been there time and time again. Fortunately we have got you covered with our anxiety toolkit. Here is what you need to include:

Stress Balls: Simple yet so effective, stress balls have the power to reduce muscle tension which in return can reduce anxiety. Also, its 2016, the options are hella cute. Squeeze Away!

Essential Oils: Did you know essential oils can have an effect on your mind as well? It’s called aromatherapy. Put a few drops of coconut oil, lavender, and lemon in a small bottle dropper. Spread some on your wrist and watch yourself mood elevate.

Inspirational Playlist: Make your list a compilation of songs that bring back good memories and allow your mind to escape from your current situation. Some of our fave songs with positive messages and calming beats are:

  • Daniel Ketchum, no specific song (literally his whole track list gets calm)
  • Beyonce, “I Was Here” (Trust me, motivation overload)
  • Yuna, (her beautiful voice will have you feeling like you drifted away to a desert island.)

Chamomile Tea: Go ahead and sip this tea, girl! It will have you feeling like you are on Cloud 9, but be cautious more than three cups might cause drowsiness. That’s the last thing we need when we are trying to be successful.

Small Journal & Pen: Before letting anxiety take a hold of you, center your emotions. Write down why you are feeling overwhelmed. Once you get your feelings out on paper, it is a lot easier to focus on what is really important.

Crystals: Yes, crystals. Feeling down or depressed? Hold these in your hand or put them in the room to alleviate feelings of anxiety and put your on your way to higher vibrations. Click here for some great recommendations.

A List of Mantras: Create a list of mantras that make you feel like the empowered woman you are. These will keep you focused on what is really important. Here are some we like to say.

  • “I am in charge of my stress response”
  • “In every moment, I chose peace”
  • “All is well”

Last but not least…

Get a cute travel bag to carry it all in. Seriously, nothing is worse than looking for all these things and not being able to find them. Here are some of our fave pouches.
